TOPO! Explorer Deluxe

Overview

This article describes how to locate/identify the version number of your TOPO! Explorer application in both the Mac and PC OS. This is useful in troubleshooting, as the first step in resolving any issue is to ensure that you are running the latest application. Once you've identified your version, compare it to the Version History section of this Wiki, where the most recent version is clearly identified.

Step-by-Step

Windows Instructions

1. Browse your computer's harddrive (most likely "C Drive")

2. Locate and browse the Program Files folder

3. Locate and browse the TOPO! Explorer folder

4. Locate the application "TE" (not to be confused with "TOPOexplorer")

5. Right-Click on the "TE" icon and choose "Properties"

6. In Windows Vista select the "Details" tab - locate the "File Version" #. In Windows XP, 98, ME select the "Version" tab and locate the "File Version" #.

7. Compare this version number to that located on the TOPO Explorer Wiki as the most recent.

Mac Instructions

1. Launch the TOPO! Explorer application.

2. Click the "Apple Icon" in the top menu and choose "About" from the drop-down.

3. Note the Version #

4. Compare this version number to that located on the TOPO! Explorer Wiki as the most recent.
