Overview
This article provides step-by-step directions on how to install the TOPO! Explorer application on a Windows PC. TOPO! Explorer is compatible with Windows Vista, XP, 2000, 98, and ME. Please consult the System Requirements for complete hardware requirements.
Step-by-Step
1. Login to your TOPO! Explorer Account at http://topo.com. If you do not have an account, please follow the registration instructions.
2. Navigate to your account profile by clicking on your username in the top-right corner of your screen.
3. Once in your account page - click the "My Purchases" tab and scroll down ~ 1/2 way to locate the ::Download the Latest App:: bucket.
5. Select the TOPO Explorer for PC link and follow the onscreen prompts to save the download to your desktop.
6. Once the download is complete, locate the package on your desktop and ::double-click:: .
7. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the TOPO! Explorer application. Note: Windows Vista users may be asked to "allow" the installation.
8. The default installation will create a TOPO! Explorer folder in your "Program Files" folder and update your .NET framework components if necessary. Those that own other TOPO! products, should note that the installation of TOPO! Explorer does not overwrite or replace you existing TOPO! folder or its contents.
9. Once the installation is complete, launch the TOPO! Explorer application. Note that the first time you launch it may take up to several minutes to complete "behind the scenes" configuration. Do not close, cancel or end-task the application.
10. Once launched ::login:: using your TOPO! Explorer Website user account email address and password. - The Installation is Complete!
