Overview
TOPO! Explorer Version 1.0.4 was released on Friday June 27th. It is the fourth update to TOPO! Explorer version 1.0 and contains a variety of stability improvements plus complete GPS support for the Macintosh OS. A detailed list of all improvements for both PC and Mac OS are detailed below.
New Features and Improvements
- Added GPS support to the Mac version (excluding Magellan Triton which is not Mac compatible)
- Route distance is now calculated and displayed in the route details on the content view below the map
- Columns in the content view below the map are now sortable by clicking in the column headers
- Tool preferences, such as waypoint icon, route and text color, and text style are now stored to a preference file and reloaded when TOPO! Explorer starts up
- Removed the 'auto login' feature, to fix reported problems with script errors and crashes during start up
- Fixed Trips Library problem that sometimes listed blank entries and/or entries for previously deleted trips
- Fixed problem with Trip Descriptions not getting saved/shared
- HTML special characters, such as quotes, should now display properly in item names and descriptions
- Added tip messages next to the Color Picker for Route and Text tool defaults
- Reduced waypoint 'stickiness' (i.e. they start moving sooner when dragging with the Select tool)
- Trip files downloaded from topo.com can now be deleted from the Trips Library (deleting trips you've shared on topo.com is coming soon)
