Overview
TOPO! Explorer Version 1.2.0 was released on Tues. Nov. 18th. This update contains functionality upgrades for the TOPO! Explorer desktop application. Numerous improvements such as improved Magellan Triton map export, added UTM grid, and fixes for all known bugs are included with v1.2.0.
New Features and Improvements
- Improved Magellan Triton map export: larger selectable areas, map availability status regions, estimated and available space on Triton, background processing, user interface improvements
- Added a new tab called 'Triton Update' to GPS screen when Triton GPS needs firmware update, with full details about the updated version and instructions/link to download and install it. (Note: update tab does not appear if your firmware is current)
- Added a list of all installed raster maps on connected Triton to GPS window, allowing maps to be selected and deleted.
- Added UTM grid - on-screen and on print outs.
- Imported GPS routes now have a waypoint list and elevation profile associated with them.
- Improved text label selection to modify styles of all selected labels at once
- Added the proximity column to photos, videos, routes, and waypoints lists
- Added basic KML file import capabilities
- Improved the table name/description layout
- Added new overview map (displays on levels 4 and higher)
